A 7″ handguard is a compact rail or polymer handguard designed for AR-15 pistols and short-barreled rifles (SBRs) with short barrels, typically 7″–8.5″. It works with pistol-length gas systems, compatible upper receivers, low-profile gas blocks, and short barrels. The 7″ handguard provides a lightweight, maneuverable grip area and accessory mounting space, making it ideal for compact AR builds focused on close-quarters use and portability.
