A standard charging handle latches on the left; an ambidextrous handle adds a right-side (or dual) latch so you can charge with either hand — handy for optics-heavy or left-handed setups.

What is an extended latch?

An extended (oversized) latch gives a larger surface to grab, making the handle easier to run with gloves or when mounting a large optic over the standard latch.

Will this charging handle fit my rifle?

AR-15 and AR-10/.308 use different-length charging handles — match it to your platform. AR-15 handles fit standard AR-15 uppers; .308 handles are sized for large-frame uppers.

Do you need an FFL to buy a charging handle?
