The DT10-004 is a complete 7.5″ chrome moly, Nitride finish 5.56 NATO pistol build kit finished in Flat Dark Earth, bundled with an 80% stripped lower receiver — everything needed to build a pistol from the ground up.

What’s Included: a complete M4 flat-top upper — chrome moly barrel, mil-spec 5.56-specific BCG and charging handle, 7″ keymod, free float handguard, gas block and tube — plus a mil-spec Lower Parts Kit, a US-made pistol buffer tube with buffer and spring, and an 80% stripped lower receiver. It does not include a magazine, jig/tooling, or sights.

A: Yes — the DT10-004 includes an 80% stripped lower receiver, which still requires machining (jig and tooling sold separately) before it’s a complete, legal lower.
Q: What caliber is this kit chambered in?
A: 5.56 NATO (.223/5.56) is the caliber for the DT10-004, run through a 1:7 twist 7.5″ barrel, topped with an A2 Flash Hider, 1/2″-28. Note the BCG is machined specifically for 5.56 NATO, not interchangeable across calibers.
Q: Does the twist rate matter for the ammo I run?
A: It does. At a 1:7 twist, the DT10-004 handles the full range of common 5.56/.223 loads, including heavier 62–77gr bullets that slower twists struggle to stabilize.
Q: Is the Flat Dark Earth finish just on the handguard, or the whole kit?
A: On the DT10-004, the Flat Dark Earth finish covers the handguard and receiver-facing components of the upper; the barrel itself retains its Nitride finish.
Q: What gas system does the 7.5″ barrel use?
A: The DT10-004 runs a pistol-length gas system — matched to its 7.5″ barrel for consistent cycling.
Q: Can this be built as a rifle instead of a pistol?
A: At 7.5″, the DT10-004’s barrel falls well short of the 16″ rifle-length minimum. Building it with a shouldered stock rather than a brace reclassifies it as an SBR under the NFA — that requires ATF Form 1 approval and a tax stamp before you assemble it that way.

This was my first build. I did scratch up the coating a bit but all an all it is awesome.
Only issues i had were my buffer tube had a dent i had to file down to screw in. And the latch plate didnt fit. I had a spare, i was able to finish my build.
