A free float KeyMod handguard is a lightweight rail that mounts only to the upper receiver via its own barrel nut, avoiding barrel contact to improve accuracy and heat management. The KeyMod interface accepts direct-attach accessories (lights, grips, rail sections). It works with AR-15/AR-10 upper receivers, compatible barrels, dedicated barrel nut, low-profile gas blocks, gas tubes (pistol/carbine/mid/rifle), and muzzle devices.
