The DT10-142 dresses a 7.5″ chrome moly, Nitride-finished 5.56 barrel in Tungsten Grey Cerakote and pairs it with a slim, free-float Window M-Lok rail. This is an upper-only pistol kit — no 80% lower receiver is included.

Q: Does this kit include a lower receiver?
A: No — the DT10-142 is an upper-only kit; you’ll need to supply your own AR-15 lower (stripped, complete, or 80%) to finish the build.
Q: What caliber is this kit chambered in?
A: The DT10-142 is chambered in 5.56 NATO (.223/5.56), with a 1:7 twist 7.5″ barrel, threaded 1/2″-28. Because 5.56 NATO uses a caliber-specific BCG, it isn’t interchangeable with a different caliber’s bolt carrier.
Q: Does the twist rate matter for the ammo I run?
A: Yes — the DT10-142’s 1:7 twist stabilizes heavier 5.56/.223 bullet weights (62–77gr) particularly well, in addition to standard 55gr loads.
Q: Is the Tungsten Grey Cerakote finish just on the handguard, or the whole kit?
A: On the DT10-142, the Tungsten Grey Cerakote finish covers the handguard and receiver-facing components of the upper; the barrel itself retains its Nitride finish.

A: Pistol-length gas system. On the DT10-142’s 7.5″ barrel, that length keeps the action running reliably without over- or under-gassing.
Q: Can this be built as a rifle instead of a pistol?
A: This kit’s 7.5″ barrel is well under the 16″ minimum for a standard rifle barrel. Configuring the DT10-142 on a lower with a shouldered stock instead of a pistol brace makes it a Short-Barreled Rifle (SBR) under the NFA, requiring ATF Form 1 registration and an approved tax stamp before assembly.
