The Raptor LT is a lightweight version of the Radian Raptor ambidextrous charging handle, providing the same dual-latch ambidextrous operation as the full-size Raptor in a lighter overall package. Both latches are spring-loaded and operate independently — the shooter can charge the rifle using the latch on either side of the handle without reaching across to the opposite latch, making the Raptor LT equally usable by left- and right-handed shooters. The 5.56 / AR-15 version installs as a direct drop-in replacement in any standard mil-spec AR-15 upper receiver. No modification to the upper receiver, bolt carrier group, or other components is required. Installation involves removing the existing charging handle and bolt carrier group from the upper receiver and reinstalling with the Raptor LT — a basic field-level task requiring no special tools. The ambidextrous latch design also benefits right-handed shooters who need to charge with the non-dominant hand during malfunction clearance drills or shooting from unconventional positions where the firing hand cannot reach the standard right-side-only mil-spec latch.
