UTG Pro handguards are designed for the AR-15 platform and use a low-profile Super Slim body to minimize handguard diameter and reduce grip circumference compared to traditional quad-rail handguards, allowing a more natural shooting grip and reducing overall weight. M-Lok slots positioned across the handguard accept any M-Lok compatible accessory — lights, foregrips, sling mounts, and Picatinny rail sections — directly without adapters. Keymod slots function similarly but use the Keymod standard, which accepts Keymod-compatible accessories and Picatinny rail inserts. Free-float handguards attach to the barrel nut and do not contact the barrel, eliminating pressure on the barrel from the handguard and potentially improving accuracy consistency. Drop-in handguards install between the delta ring and front sight base without removing the existing barrel nut, making installation simpler but not achieving the free-float benefit. Confirm the handguard length is appropriate for your barrel and gas system configuration before ordering.
