Just received my upper build kit, 1st things first the finish truely isnt the best top notch thing in the world, but for the price you pay its well worth it, the parts kit was easiy to separate all the trigger parts even tho they shipped in various baggies mixed together, i am using a anderson arms stripped.lower, the fitment is tight with everything like you.would want it tobe, i am shooting steel case ammo through it and 400 rnds so far right outta the box no miss feeds or failures of any kind, the overall quality of the build kit is well worth the price, shipping, i was kinda bummed when i called in and was told 7-10 days for processing… surprisingly tho that wasnt the case i order on late friday night, the build kit was delivered that very following wednesday via ups. I will be using this company more, and i deffantly recommend them. They have about the same qaulity of products as palmetto state armory, they just need to actually have a better customer service.

A few months ago, I started to get back into guns, and everyone at work seemed to know a lot about ARs, so I figured I would save some money and do a build since my buddies encouraged the money-savings option… apparently none of them (I work with mostly ex-military guys) had ever actually done a build, and were no help in building an AR, like I had planned since they all seemed to think it was a good idea.
Long story short, I now know way more than the dudes at work about the internals and mechanics of an AR since I had to YouTube that shit, myself, and it was a valuable learning experience.
I paired this with the cheapest AR receiver from a local shop, an ATI polymer receiver… the receiver was having a lot of break-in issues, so I ended up replacing the internals/trigger/release parts for the lower, instead of the internals I purchased from Daytona. The gun shoots flawlessly now, and due to my learning experience with my first build (this gun), I feel confident that the collapsible rifle stock buffer spring and buffer that came with this kit was a major issue in the failure-to-eject issues I was having with every other round, as I tested multiple types of brass .223 and 5.56 ammo as well as multiple types of mags.
The gas tube on this system is not adjustable, and I’m positive the tube wasn’t giving the buffer enough force to cycle fully to eject and rack the next round… this is after tons of troubleshooting, getting the BCG totally locked up, and a host of other headaches (mortaring your rifle is one of the most useful things to know when you get a jammed rifle… make sure to pull the charging handle back at the same time as slamming the butt of the gun against something hard).
Again, long story short… learned a lot from this build, and it looks like a Ninja Turtles, and even the dirty liberals like the Ninja Turtles… also, all my buddies’ kids think it’s super cool even though their daddies have multiple thousands of dollars invested in higher end ARs.
Sited this bad boy in at 200 yards, no problem. 1/2″ pattern with a non-magnified red dot.
In summary, this build is awesome, and the coating is great; BCG is great (make sure to grease her up), and replace the buffer and spring as well (the one in this kit is simply too heavy of a spring for the light carbine buffer; I bought an aftermarket flat carbine spring and a titanium buffer to add some cycling improvement… ).
She now ejects at 3-5 o’clock every shot perfectly with rapid emptying of consecutive mags.
Lots of compliments on this gun. The long barrel and long handrail make it a little fatiguing to aim for extended periods, but the long rail allows for lots of attachments as needed.
Great upper kit with a few minor modifications, which just adds to the just-in-case box if something breaks in the future so no harm, no foul, and I would definitely recommend this kit with those upgrades, which are not expensive. If this is for your first build, just make sure to get a little magnetic bowl, a set of Allen keys, and a tap and die kit for $20 on Amazon.
