Seekins Precision Low Profile Adjustable Gas Block – .750

Don’t let the name deceive you – the Seekins Precision Adjustable Low Profile Gas Block is one of the most versatile and sophisticated gas blocks on the market today. This gas block’s designed to tune your AR Rifle gas system for smoother cycling and operation. And regulating gas used to cycle the action allows tuning the rifle’s operation to a specific load. Along with the use of low mass bolt carriers, buffers and springs to reduce felt recoil. This gas block is critical to allow faster follow up shots.

The Seekins Precision Adjustable Gas Block is field adjustable by simply turning the gas regulating screw – in to lessen the amount of gas and out to add more gas. Then use the brass tipped set screw to lock the setting in place. Melonite Coated to reduce wear and corrosion for extended periods of fire.  Also makes cleaning easier. As carbon build up will not adhere to the coated surface as much as it does on standard Parkerized finishes. Overall height of the gas block is 1.37” with left to right dimensions at .94” to fit under most hand guards and still have the customization of an adjustable gas block. So don’t be caught off-guard – get yourself a Seekins Precision Adjustable Low Profile Gas Block today!

The .750-inch bore diameter matches the most common barrel outer diameter at the gas block seating area on standard government-profile, M4, and heavy-profile AR-15 barrels — confirm your barrel’s outer diameter at the gas port before ordering, as lighter pencil-profile barrels may measure .625 inch and heavier bull-profile barrels may measure .936 inch. An adjustable gas block allows the shooter to tune the amount of gas bled from the barrel to cycle the action, rather than relying on a fixed gas port setting. This is particularly valuable on suppressed rifles, where adding a suppressor significantly increases back-pressure and can cause the action to over-cycle — resulting in ejection issues, increased felt recoil, and accelerated component wear. Turning down the gas with an adjustable block when running suppressed restores normal cycling behavior and reduces bolt velocity. Low profile gas blocks sit below the inner diameter of a free-float handguard, allowing a full-length rail or handguard to extend over the block without obstruction. Installation requires removing the existing gas block from the barrel, sliding the new block into position over the gas port, and securing it with the included set screws against the barrel’s dimples or via a clamp arrangement depending on the specific model.

Frequently Asked Questions

What bore diameter do I need?

The .750-inch bore diameter fits the most common AR-15 barrel profiles at the gas block seating area, including government, M4, and heavy profiles. Lighter pencil-profile barrels typically measure .625 inch and require a .625 gas block. Measure your barrel’s outer diameter at the gas port before ordering.

Is this compatible with free-float handguards?

Yes — as a low-profile gas block, the Seekins block sits below the inner diameter of most free-float handguards, allowing the handguard to extend over the gas block without obstruction. This is required for most modern free-float handguard installations.

How is it secured to the barrel?

The Seekins low-profile gas block is secured by set screws that engage dimples drilled into the barrel surface. Confirm your barrel has the appropriate set screw dimples machined into it before installation, as some barrels use a taper pin or clamp arrangement instead.
