A deer head centered in rifle crosshairs — engraved on the right magwell of a 7075-T6 forged 80% lower. It’s a straightforward design for hunters who build their own ARs and want the lower to reflect how the rifle gets used. Works especially well for a .300 Blackout hunting build where the lower and upper tell the same story.

Who This Is For

Hunters who build their own AR-15s — particularly those running a .300 BLK or 6.5 Grendel upper for deer hunting. The crosshairs detail makes this the most hunt-specific of the deer head variants we carry. Also available without crosshairs in four other deer head styles if you prefer a cleaner silhouette.

Specs and Construction

The lower is forged from 7075-T6 aluminum and machined to mil-spec tolerances. It’s black hard-coat anodized (Type III) for durability, marked Model DT-15, Cal Multi, and Made in U.S.A. Compatible with all standard AR-15 mil-spec components. The engraving sits on the right side of the magazine well — clean, deep, and permanent.

Engraving Details

The design is laser engraved on the right side of the magazine well. Fire/Safe selector markings are not included. Optional left-side engraving adds a personal ID mark in the format DT + your order number (e.g., DT-12345) — for your reference only, no records are kept or reported. Custom text is reproduced exactly as entered; limit 15 characters per line.

Completing Your 80% Lower

This is an 80% lower receiver — the fire control pocket is unmachined and it ships as a non-firearm. To complete it you’ll need a drill press or router jig. Daytona Tactical carries laser engraved 80% lower receivers to get your build done right.

    I have never been disappointed with anything I have purchased from Daytona tactical and I must say the 3 laser Ingraved lowers I purchased were excellent! When they were finished they really made people look a second time.

    The first two 80’s were perfect, the third was shipped with the wrong engraving, ok, no big deal, the flag instead of the eagle over flag. The fourth I ordered special engraving, and I wrote “SER: XXX” thinking they would engrave the serial number in it’s location. The engraver actually engraved the three X’s. Am I expecting too much? maybe.
    This 80 also had damage to the upper/lower mating surface done prior to anodizing and then scratches done post anodizing as if it were tossed in a box with others. The fifth 80 I received again was fine. I’m satisfied with 4 out of 5 but still a little disappointed.
    Maybe I should have done four out of five stars.
