This 9mm AR-9 Rifle Kit brings pistol-caliber-carbine simplicity to the AR platform: no gas block, no gas tube, just straightforward blowback operation. No. This kit ships without a lower receiver, so it is not an FFL item. Pair it with a dedicated 9mm AR lower.

No. 9mm AR-9 uppers operate via straight blowback, so there is no gas block, gas tube, or gas port to worry about.
What magazines is this kit compatible with?
The included stock comes with an insert for Colt SMG-pattern 9mm magazines. Magazines are not included.

Needed a little modification on the magwell insert. Needed a little meat shaved off the corners where contact was causing it to bind before it could seat in all the way.. a file would work fine but a dremel was effective.. very simple and quick. Also the buffer was a standard 3oz. 3 1/4″ that came w the kit.

I left my order number(DT-207066) this time..
The magwell insert was really stiff and needed a little meat shaved off the corner edges a little bit to completely seat into place completely. Was simple w a dremel, but I’m sure a good file would have worked. Also the buffer was a standard 5.56/.223 @ 3 oz. and 3 1/4″ long. Other than those simple fixes.. it’s great so far..

Very good kit. Some tweaking required as all 9mm kits need. The mag insert is all metal and good quality and does not move. Install it before putting bolt carrier catch in. Runs reliability with Colt style mags. I strongly recommend.
