This 7.62×39 Rifle Kit brings the AK round to the AR-15 platform, sometimes called an AR-47. Because 7.62×39 is a tapered case very different from 5.56, the kit ships with a caliber-specific bolt carrier group rather than a standard 5.56 BCG. It still runs on a standard AR-15 lower receiver.

I put this kit on a stripped lower I already had. I have to say for a quick build, this is a nice way to go. I own a 5.56 AR as well and enjoy them both, but have to say the 7.62×39 is really a nice upsize caliber kit to complete a stripped lower.

When it arrived shot some bore blaster through the gas tube and barrel, cleaned the bolt added some dry lube… have not cleaned it since or had a malfunction in 500 rounds and counting.
Better than L-124 at Knox … sorry baby.

this is a great alternative to an ar10 it really needs a muzzle brake on it to reduce recoil as the flash suppressor isnt needed. but the ammo is cheap and the rifle is good.
