This design is used where collapsible stocks are restricted by state law, in competition divisions requiring a fixed stock, or by shooters who prefer the rigidity of a non-adjustable design. The rubber butt pad absorbs recoil and maintains shoulder contact during rapid fire. The Fixed Carbine Stock is compatible with any mil-spec diameter carbine buffer tube on a standard AR-15 lower receiver and installs with a stock screw — no modification to the lower receiver is required.
