The K2 Grip uses a 25-degree grip angle matching the original M16A1 grip geometry — shallower than many modern designs — positioning the shooting hand more vertically behind the trigger. This angle is preferred by some shooters for a natural wrist position during standing or dynamic shooting and for reduced wrist extension fatigue. The straight paddle-style profile lacks finger grooves, providing a neutral grip surface that accommodates a wide range of hand sizes without forcing a specific finger placement. The K2 installs on any mil-spec AR-15 or AR-10 lower receiver — the single grip screw secures the grip over the safety selector detent and spring without modification. A storage cap at the base provides a small cavity for batteries or accessories. The polymer body is lightweight with surface texturing for improved retention in varied conditions across defensive, duty, and competition applications.

The MOE K2 Grip combines the more vertical grip angle of the K grip family with a palm swell and beavertail backstrap that fills the space between the grip and the trigger guard, providing a fuller grip feel than the standard MOE grip. The more vertical angle of the K2 aligns the wrist more naturally for shooters using a thumbs-forward or high-grip technique, reducing wrist bend and improving trigger finger placement. The K2 installs using the standard AR-15 pistol grip screw and washer with no modification to the lower receiver. A removable, interchangeable backstrap and finger groove panel allow some customization of the grip geometry.
