The CTR (Compact/Type Restricted) features a cam-locked cheek piece that raises for a higher cheek weld or locks down for a lower profile, a friction-lock length-of-pull adjustment, and an integrated QD sling socket. The cam-lock provides a secure, rattle-free fit on the buffer tube that is tighter than a standard mil-spec stock latch.
What buffer tube does the CTR fit?
The CTR is designed for mil-spec diameter carbine buffer tubes (~1.148 inches outer diameter). Verify your buffer tube is mil-spec diameter before ordering, as commercial-spec tubes (~1.168 inches) require a commercial-spec stock and are not interchangeable.
Is this a drop-in replacement?
Yes — the CTR slides directly onto any mil-spec carbine buffer tube and is a drop-in replacement for any existing mil-spec carbine stock on an AR-15 lower receiver. No modification to the lower receiver is required.
