The AFG-2 (Angled Fore Grip 2) is a refined, shorter version of the AFG-1, reducing the overall length and palm shelf of the original design. The AFG-2 positions the support hand at a forward-angled angle — similar to a natural thumbs-forward technique — reducing wrist extension and hand fatigue during extended shooting compared to a vertical grip. The shorter profile of the AFG-2 makes it better suited to shorter handguards or shooters who prefer a more compact front grip footprint. It attaches to any standard Picatinny rail via a thumbscrew-secured clamp for tool-free installation and repositioning.
The AFG-2 mounts to any standard Picatinny rail section using the included hardware, compatible with any 1913 Picatinny spec rail on the handguard or a rail adapter. The lower-profile design of the AFG-2 compared to the AFG-1 keeps the support hand closer to the bore axis, which some shooters prefer for index consistency. The angled surface positions the support hand in a forward, thumbs-forward or high thumb-over grip with a natural wrist angle that reduces fatigue during extended shooting sessions. The AFG-2 is a direct drop-in replacement for the AFG-1 and is compatible with the same rail mounting locations.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is an angled foregrip?
An angled foregrip (AFG) positions the support hand at a forward angle rather than vertically, supporting a natural thumbs-forward or C-clamp grip technique. This reduces wrist extension and hand fatigue during extended shooting compared to a vertical foregrip.
How does the AFG-2 attach?
The AFG-2 attaches to a standard Picatinny rail via a thumbscrew-secured clamp for tool-free installation and repositioning. It is compatible with any Picatinny-railed AR-15 handguard, shotgun, or other railed firearm.
What is the difference between the AFG-1 and AFG-2?
The AFG-2 is shorter and more compact than the AFG-1, with a reduced palm shelf for a smaller overall footprint. The AFG-2 is better suited to shorter handguards or shooters who prefer a more compact front grip profile, while the AFG-1 provides more palm shelf surface area.
