The Hogue overmolded stock uses a rigid polymer core with a rubberized overmold on all contact surfaces — the butt, cheekweld area, and grip surfaces — providing a non-slip, shock-absorbing interface between the shooter and the stock. The overmold texture improves retention against the shoulder during recoil and reduces the hard, slick feel of a standard polymer stock, which is particularly noticeable during extended range sessions or when shooting from non-standard positions. The mil-spec diameter buffer tube is the standard used on mil-spec AR-15 lower receivers and is compatible with mil-spec carbine stocks, buffer tubes, and related components. The stock adjusts to six positions for length of pull, accommodating different body types, shooting positions, and shooting with or without body armor. Installation is a direct drop-in replacement for any existing mil-spec carbine stock — slide the stock onto a mil-spec buffer tube and secure with the standard stock latch.
