A lower parts kit (LPK) contains all of the small components needed to complete a stripped AR-15 lower receiver, including the trigger group (trigger, hammer, disconnector, and associated pins and springs), safety selector and detent, bolt catch and spring, magazine catch, button, and spring, pivot and takedown pins with detents and springs, buffer retainer and spring, and the pistol grip screw and washer. The standard LPK uses mil-spec trigger group components — the same geometry and specification used in military M4 and M16 rifles — providing a reliable, proven trigger feel with a pull weight typically in the 6–8 lb. range. All LPK components are designed to drop into any standard mil-spec AR-15 lower receiver without modification. A complete lower parts kit is required to build a functional lower receiver from a stripped lower — none of these small parts come installed on a stripped lower receiver from the factory.

I’ve always liked Spikes Tac. I ordered this kit directly from Spike’s then found out it was going to take 5-7 months. This is the first time I used Daytona Tac. and they were the only company that had this in stock. Amazing service great pricing and super fast delivery.
Only problem was with Spikes. There pistol grip was very disappointing. Felt cheap looked cheap and a problem in the cast. Live and learn…. Dayton though was great. I will be using them again.

Frequently Asked Questions

What lower receivers is this kit compatible with?

The Spike’s Tactical Standard Lower Parts Kit is compatible with any standard mil-spec AR-15 lower receiver. All components use standard mil-spec dimensions and install without modification to the lower receiver.

Does this include everything needed to complete a stripped lower?

A standard LPK includes all of the small parts needed to complete a stripped lower receiver — trigger group, safety selector, bolt catch, magazine catch, pins, detents, springs, buffer retainer, and grip hardware. It does not include the pistol grip body, stock, or buffer assembly, which are typically purchased separately.

What trigger pull weight can I expect?

A standard mil-spec trigger group typically produces a pull weight in the 6–8 lb. range, consistent with military specifications. For a lighter or crisper pull, an upgraded trigger group or drop-in trigger module can be substituted for the standard trigger components.
