SilencerCo Compact Radial Brake, 5/8×24, .30 Cal/7.62MM
This compact radial brake threads 5/8×24 for .30 caliber/7.62mm rifles and pairs with SilencerCo’s Thread Over Mounts (TOM) for a fast-attach suppressor interface that combines ASR versatility with Direct Thread simplicity. Radial ports machined around the brake body redirect propellant gases in multiple directions to cut felt recoil and muzzle rise.

What does TOMD actually mean, and why does it matter?
TOMD stands for Thread Over Muzzle Device — it means the brake pairs with SilencerCo’s Thread Over Mounts (TOM) without needing to be timed to a specific rotational position, unlike some traditional brake designs.
Which SilencerCo suppressors work with this?
It’s built for use with SilencerCo Thread Over Mounts (TOM), which are compatible with a range of SilencerCo suppressors — confirm your specific suppressor model’s mount compatibility before ordering.
Can I run this as a standalone brake without a suppressor?
Yes, it functions as a full standalone muzzle brake, reducing felt recoil and muzzle rise even without a suppressor attached.
How is this different from the 1/2×28 version you sell?
They’re the same design in a different thread pitch — this one is 5/8×24 for standard .30 caliber/7.62mm barrels, while the 1/2×28 version fits threads more commonly found on .300 Blackout builds.
What torque or thread locker does this need for installation?
Use a crush washer and torque to your barrel manufacturer’s specification when timing and indexing this brake during installation.
Does this add noticeable length or bulk to my rifle?
No, it’s designed as a compact form factor specifically to minimize added length and bulk compared to a full-size brake.
