What lower receiver is compatible with this 9mm upper?
Yes — the upper is mil-spec and fits any standard AR-15 lower. For a 9mm build you’ll also need a dedicated 9mm lower or a 9mm conversion block that accepts 9mm magazines. The upper itself is a direct drop-on.
What mag fits a 9mm AR-15 blowback upper?
This upper requires a 9mm lower or conversion block. Glock-pattern 9mm magazines (G17/G19 style) are the most widely supported. Your lower determines which magazine pattern fits — confirm compatibility with your lower before ordering mags.
Does this upper come with a bolt carrier group and charging handle?
A BCG and charging handle are available as add-on options on this product page. A dedicated 9mm blowback bolt carrier is required — a standard 5.56 BCG will not function in a 9mm blowback build.
Can I use a standard AR-15 buffer with this 9mm upper?
9mm blowback generates a heavier recoil impulse than a gas-impingement build. An H2 buffer or heavier (5–6oz) is recommended for reliable cycling. A standard carbine buffer may work but can cause bolt bounce and reliability issues.
Is the 12″ M-Lok handguard free-floating on this upper?
Any M-Lok-compatible accessory — including foregrips, lights, laser modules, and QD sling mounts — mounts directly to the 12″ free-float handguard. Free-float design isolates the barrel from handguard pressure for improved accuracy.
Does the Cerakote Pink finish require any special maintenance?
The Cerakote Pink finish is applied over mil-spec black anodized aluminum. Cerakote is one of the most durable firearm coatings available — highly resistant to corrosion, chemicals, and abrasion. No special maintenance needed beyond standard cleaning.
