What Makes the Armaspec Superlight Different from Standard Pins
Standard mil-spec takedown and pivot pins are plain steel cylinders. The ARM146-BLK improves on that in three ways: the convex head lets you push the pin in without needing a perfectly centered punch; the extended concave tip gives you a solid removal point using anything flat or pointed; and the EZ-Set hole seats the detent inside the pin body during installation so the spring can’t launch it across the room. The aluminum construction sheds weight compared to steel while the mil-spec .250″ diameter ensures full compatibility.

Does the this product include detents and springs?
Yes. Unlike most takedown pin sets that ship pins only, the Armaspec this product is a 6-piece kit that includes 1 takedown pin, 1 pivot pin, 2 detents, and 2 detent springs — everything needed for both pin positions.
What is the EZ-Set hole and how does it work?
The EZ-Set hole is a hole drilled through the body of each pin. During installation, you drop the detent into the EZ-Set hole to hold it in position while you push the pin into the lower receiver. This prevents the detent and spring from flying out, which is a common frustration with standard takedown pin installation.
Is this an aluminum or steel pin set?
Aluminum. Armaspec calls this their Superlight design, using aluminum construction to reduce weight compared to standard steel takedown and pivot pins. The mil-spec .250″ diameter ensures full compatibility with standard AR-15, M16, and M4 lower receivers.
Will these fit an 80% lower receiver?
