Both use the same enhanced design — convex head, extended concave tip, and EZ-Set hole. The difference is finish and base material: the ARM137-BLK is steel with a black nitride finish, while the this product is stainless steel with a natural silver finish. Choose based on whether you want a blacked-out or silver look, and whether you prefer black nitride or natural stainless corrosion resistance.
Are detents and springs included with the this product?
No. The this product is a 2-pin set only. Detents and springs are sold separately. If you want a complete kit with detents and springs included, the Armaspec ARM146-BLK is the all-in-one option.
What makes stainless different from black nitride for this application?
Both finishes are corrosion resistant, but stainless is inherent to the material while black nitride is a surface treatment applied to steel. Stainless has a natural silver appearance and does not require a coating to resist corrosion. Black nitride offers a matte black finish with similar hardness characteristics. For AR-15 builds, both are fully suitable — the choice is mostly aesthetic.
Will these fit a mil-spec 80% lower receiver?
Yes. The this product is designed for standard AR-15 mil-spec lower receivers and will fit any 80% lower machined to standard .250″ pin hole dimensions.
