Advantage Arms 1.5-308 Suppressor – .308 Win / 7.62 NATO, Stainless, 5/8×24, Black Features
Same 8-inch stainless tube as the 5.56 version, bored and threaded for the bigger cartridge: .308 Winchester and 7.62 NATO on 5/8×24 threads. The 20-ounce weight reads differently here — heavy for a 5.56 can, fairly ordinary for a .308 one, since a larger bore normally means more metal around it.
If the rifle is 5.56 rather than .308, the 1.5-556 version is the same can in the smaller bore, and everything else needing a stamp sits under suppressors.

How do the threads differ from the 5.56 version?
This one is 5/8×24, the standard pitch for .308 barrels. The 1.5-556 uses 1/2×28. The two are not interchangeable, and starting a can onto the wrong pitch will damage the threads on both parts. Confirm what your barrel actually wears before ordering.
Can I run 6.5 Creedmoor or .300 Win Mag through it?
Advantage Arms rates this one for .308 Winchester and 7.62 NATO. Many .30 caliber cans carry additional ratings for other cartridges sharing that bore, but that has to come from the manufacturer, and it is not published here. Do not assume magnum pressures are covered.
Is 20 ounces heavy for a .308 can?
Not particularly. It sits around average for a stainless .308 suppressor, and heavier than a titanium one of the same size. The identical 20 ounces on the 5.56 version reads much heavier, simply because smaller-bore cans are usually built lighter.
Will it fit an AR-10 that already has a muzzle brake?
Not over the top of it. This is a direct-thread can, so the brake comes off and the suppressor threads onto the bare barrel. If you would rather leave a muzzle device fitted and mount over it, you want a quick-detach system rather than this one.
Can one can cover both my .308 and my 5.56 rifles?
Some shooters do run a .30 caliber can on smaller bores, but you would be relying on a rating Advantage Arms does not publish here, and you would get less suppression than a can actually bored for 5.56. If you want both covered properly, the 1.5-556 exists for that reason.
What does the transfer cost on top of the suppressor?
Budget the $200 federal transfer tax, plus whatever your SOT dealer charges to process the Form 4 — that fee is theirs to set and varies quite a bit. Some dealers also charge for fingerprinting and photographs if you do not bring your own.
