Q: What makes this kit different from the standard Keymod rifle kit?
The furniture. This version includes a Magpul MOE stock and pistol grip instead of standard mil-spec furniture. The barrel, gas system, twist rate, and upper assembly are identical.
Q: Is a lower receiver included?
No. You’ll need a stripped, complete, or 80% lower. Daytona Tactical sells 80% lowers and matching jigs separately.
Q: Is the upper pre-assembled?
Yes. Barrel, gas system, and handguard are already torqued — just mate it to your lower.
Q: What caliber and twist rate does this kit use?
5.56 NATO with a 1:7 twist rate and a 16″ barrel on a carbine-length gas system.
Q: Is the Keymod rail free-float?
Yes. The 12″ Keymod rail doesn’t contact the barrel, which improves accuracy and leaves clearance for a suppressor or muzzle device.
