Q: What makes this kit different from the riveted Keymod version?
Just the handguard. This one uses a one-piece 12″ house M-LOK free-float rail. The barrel, gas system, twist rate, and assembled upper are identical to the Keymod build.
Q: Is a lower receiver included?
No. You’ll need a stripped, complete, or 80% lower to finish the build. Daytona Tactical sells 80% lowers and matching jigs separately.
Q: Is the upper pre-assembled?
Yes. The barrel, gas system, and handguard are already torqued — just mate it to your lower.
Q: What caliber and twist rate does this kit use?
5.56 NATO with a 1:7 twist rate and a 16″ barrel on a carbine-length gas system.
Q: Does the house M-LOK rail free-float the barrel?
Yes. Free-floating removes contact between the handguard and barrel, improving consistency and accuracy compared to a clamped rail.
