Yes — this upper is mil-spec and pairs with any standard AR-15 lower receiver. All the dedicated .22 LR components are in the upper itself; your lower’s fire control group and buffer system stay in use as-is. No lower modifications are required.
What magazine capacity is available for this .22 LR build?
Dedicated .22 LR AR-15 magazines are required — standard 5.56 mags will not feed .22 LR rounds. Dedicated 10- and 25-round .22 LR AR-style magazines are widely available. Check the product page for compatible magazine add-ons.
Does this upper come with a bolt carrier group?
A dedicated .22 LR bolt carrier group is available as an add-on on this product page. A standard 5.56 BCG is not compatible — .22 LR requires a rimfire-specific bolt carrier group. Included components are listed in the specs above.
Will this upper cycle cheap bulk .22 LR ammo reliably?
Standard and high-velocity .22 LR ammunition cycles reliably. CCI Mini-Mag, Federal Auto Match, and quality bulk ammo are popular choices. Subsonic loads may not generate enough energy to cycle consistently — ammunition at or above 1,050 fps velocity is recommended for reliable function.
Is the 15″ M-Lok handguard free-floating on this upper?
Any M-Lok-compatible accessory — foregrips, lights, laser modules, and QD sling mounts — mounts directly to the 15″ free-float handguard. The longer rail provides more mounting real estate and keeps the muzzle better supported for precision shooting.
How does the Tungsten Grey finish hold up to regular range use?
The Tungsten Grey finish is Cerakote applied over mil-spec black anodized aluminum. Cerakote is one of the most durable firearm coatings available — highly resistant to corrosion, chemicals, and abrasion. Standard cleaning is all the maintenance required.
